E-skip opening 7/1/11. 4 new logs.

The 7/1/11 Es opening in Northern Virginia started at around 6 p.m. with Missouri FM signals coming in.  It soon moved through Kansas and Iowa, and it ended at 7:35 p.m. in South Dakota and Minnesota.  Signals below 94.9 FM were very strong—the strongest yet observed so far in the 2011 Es season.  I was hoping this Es opening would turn into a marathon opening like I’ve seen in previous years, but haven’t seen yet in 2011.  However, it soon died down.  Signals above 94.9 were weak and Tropo-like in signal strength.  MUF was 105.3 FM.
